What this sentence really means is “He has many relatives”, not “He has a wide network of contacts”.

If you change it to “He knows a lot of people”, although the meaning is “he knows a lot of people”, foreigners generally will not directly associate it with what you want to express, “he has a wide network of contacts”.

This is because “Know” only expresses a general understanding. For example, you know the stars in the movies or the politicians in the news. You know them, but they don’t know you. This is different from the understanding of “having a wide network of contacts” which requires an emotional connection between both parties.

So if you want to correctly express “

he has connections”, you can say: He Brazil Phone Number List has connections.

The word “connection” refers to social relationships, interpersonal relationships, or acquaintances who can provide assistance in business.

Other examples:

She only got the job because of her connections.

He has important connections in KL. He has important connections in KL.
